Co-promoter Ashley Taylor said: "There is a persistent spell of heavy rain forecast over a 36-hour period leading up to Friday evening.
"We will be looking to re-stage the meeting later in the season when we will hope for a suitable evening to do justice to what is an important fixture."

The challenge clash against Exeter is intended to underline the links between the two tracks, following the decision of ManorDelta to take a 25 percent shareholding in the new Plymouth promotion.
Taylor added: "As far as we are concerned, it will be a very significant meeting for us, taking into account the involvement of ManorDelta and the memory of former Exeter promoter the late Colin Hill."
