“Rick o'Shay, regarding his rather unsubtle hints on his own neutrality in the Gay Marriage debate: Mr Streeter has close links to 'Care' a Christian organisation who:
1) pay for Christian interns to 'volunteer' for him (secular ones might otherwise be funded by local party donations)
2) unbelievably offer a cure (through prayer) for homosexuality!
In fact, it was briefly reported on by this very website! Click here-- http://tinyurl.com/a89hrck
Probably just as well he was ineligible to vote on the issue: there is no way whatsoever I can see the interests of his constituents trumping the prejudices his faith gives him about gay people marrying the same way as straight people.”

“id ask him why he thinks his religion has any place in state affairs? and why he wastes time campaigning against the `false` discrimination imagined by Christians when he should be taking care of important issues (hint.....its not discrimination simply to stop you being predjudiced against others after years of being able to get away with it-thats called progress mr streeter!)”

“Nevman and French Badger - you have both nailed Gary's hypocrisy.
In addition, if you compare his responses to Luke Pollards question about changes to the NHS and Charlie Dodds question on gay marriage you can see that he has a very "flexible" view on manifesto promises.
Changes to the NHS are ok – even though they were not in the manifesto
But...............
Changes to legislation on gay marriage are wrong because it was not in the manifesto and things should be in the manifesto first!
Finally, it is arrogant in the extreme for him to believe that his conscience comes before the views of his constituents – I guess that makes them second class plebs. It also assumes that his conscience is reliable!

“So he votes on "conscience, constituency, party" huh? (12:14)
What absolute rubbish.
Perhaps it is just fantastic good luck that Mr Streeter's conscience and constituents coincide with the Conservative party line an impressive 98.8% of the time!
See this link about who is best/worst at voting with/against their party: http://tinyurl.com/anpf9qf
Neither did his placing "party" third behind concience and constituents hinder his time as an imprtant party whip in the wilderness years of opposition in the late 90's/early noughties.
I would wager that like nearly all MP's of all flavours, for Gary Streeter the "party line" comes before everything. What a shame he should be so disingenuous about this when overwhelming evicence to the contrary is so easy to find.”

“Mick charlie, you're such an armchari pundit. If you honestly think reducing our immigration levels are so eadsy, why don't you do it? Oh I forgot. You're a pathetic flip flopper who champions the BNP, then calls then wimps, and moves to the UKIP. (For the next five minutes).
ALl the while giving 'advice' to business owners whilst living in your rented, council funded barbican flat!
Wind yer neck in!”

“..On immigration, GS said- "The government is now pursuing a tough policy of reducing the net inflow from hundreds of thousands to tens of thousands."..
Huh, if reducing it to "tens of thousands" is tough, I'm Mary Poppins!”

“Asked if he thought Britain should withdraw from the EU, GS replied "Maybe".
Hmm no indecisive wimpy fence-sitting there then..;)”

“Re the airport, GS said- "We all wanted the airport to remain open, but it was simply not viable"..
I don't understand. It ran just fine and dandy for 80-odd years, so what made it suddenly become "not viable"?
After all, it's just a runway, control tower and a few hangars, all of which cost peanuts to maintain.
Even tiny remote jungle, desert and arctic towns have got airports.”
