Plymouth to drop below freezing tonight
PLYMOTHIANS are urged to wrap up warm as night time temperatures are set to drop below freezing tonight.
Advisors at the Met Office warned that people should take care with morning ice expected this week, with temperatures plunging between -1 and -2 C overnight and as cold as -3 C on Thursday.

Met Office weather forecaster, John Hammond, said that day temperatures in the city will remain above freezing but cold north easterly winds will ensure temperatures are kept low overnight.
"We can expect it to be dry with patchy cloud which will lead to a haw frost," he said.

“-3 ? Ha! I had -11 °C last night and -6,5 °C today. There's still 15cms of snow outside, and there's more to come. I wish you all a safe trip to work or where ever you have to drive to. Take care ,stay calm and have an accident free day. :)”

“Bit of info fot those that might be interested and nothing to do with this story.
Hopefully it is going to be a cloudless night and morning, so if you are up at 06:42 on Wednesday morning, look up to the sky for a bright white light (or maybe two) moving west to East North East straight over Plymouth. That will be the International Space Station (ISS) with Space Shuttle in hot pursuit (17200 mph). Should be visible for about 4 minutes.”
