Plymouth jury's rape trial verdict expected today
A JURY was today expected to retire to consider its verdicts on a student accused of raping two women and sexually assaulting a third.
Christian Egeonu, aged 28, denies raping the first woman at his former home in Ermington Terrace, Mutley, between July 19 and July 23 last year.

He also denies raping another woman in Somerset between October 6 and October 10, 2011, and sexually assaulting the third woman in West Hoe on October 16 last year.
A jury of seven women and five men is expected to hear a speech by defending barrister Ali Rafati and a summing up by judge Graham Cottle before retiring.

Egeonu, of Kingsley Road, Mutley, was released on bail last night after the fifth day of the trial.
