Plymouth man, 36, denies rape and sex attacks on women

A MAN has denied raping two women and attempting to rape another.

Ian Harris, aged 36, appeared at Plymouth Crown Court to enter not guilty pleas to 12 charges of sexual offences and false imprisonment involving three complainants over six months.

Harris, of Notte Street in the city centre, allegedly raped and falsely imprisoned a woman against her will between April 1 and May 31 last year. He is also charged with two sexual assaults on her between the same dates. He is further accused of falsely imprisoning and twice raping a second woman on May 6. He also allegedly sexually assaulted her that day.

Harris is charged with falsely imprisoning a third woman against her will and attempting to rape her at her home on October 20. Harris also allegedly twice sexually assaulted the woman during the incident.

Judge Paul Darlow set down a trial to start on February 18. Harris was remanded in custody until that date.
