Plymouth man in court accused of dealing seven different drugs
A MAN has appeared in court accused of dealing seven different drugs.
Bryan Hobbs, aged 25, faced Plymouth magistrates charged with possessing cocaine, cannabis and other substances with intent to supply. The drugs had a combined street value of about £19,000, the court heard.
Hobbs, of Keyes Close in Devonport, indicated 'no plea' to 11 drugs matters all relating to May 13 last year. He is said to have had quantities of cocaine, cannabis, NRG2, MDPV, MDPBP, mephedrone and BZP.
The amounts range in weight from 0.44 grams of MDPV to 409 grams of NRG2. Hobbs is also accused of possessing a knuckle duster as an offensive weapon on the same day. He again indicated 'no plea' to that charge.
Gareth Warden, for the Crown Prosecution Service, said police stopped a car in Western Approach. He added: "They found various amounts of drugs of different types, together with mobile phones and cash."
Mr Warden alleged that more drugs were found in a search of his home.
Magistrates ruled that the case was so serious it would have to be heard at Plymouth Crown Court.
Hobbs was released on unconditional bail while papers are prepared for a judge.
He must appear before magistrates again on April 4, when prosecutors hope his case will be sent to the senior court.
