Plymouth man in court on rape and sex charges

A MAN has appeared in court charged with raping one girl and sexually assaulting two others.

Thomas Frei, 20, faced Plymouth magistrates accused of one rape, six sexual assaults and inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity.

The offences, allegedly against three girls, are said to have happened in Tavistock between October 2007 and November 2008. Frei was aged 15 and 16 at the time.

Frei, of Tadworth in Surrey, is accused of raping a girl under 13 in October 2007.

Magistrates told Frei the case was being sent straight to Plymouth Crown Court.

No pleas were entered but Frei's solicitor indicated he would be denying the charges.

Frei, who answered a summons, was released on unconditional bail to appear at the senior court on October 15.
