A MAN formerly of Plymouth will appear in court in Hungary facing fraud charges next week.

Jason McGoldrick, aged 39, along with business partner Michael Turner, will return to Budapest voluntarily for the hearing.

The pair were taken in handcuffs from their homes under the European Arrest Warrant and held without charge or trial in prison for four months, from November 2009 to March 2010.

They were released after a campaign by Lord Dartmouth, a UK Independence Party MEP for the South West. Lord Dartmouth will be in Budapest as an observer at the hearing on Wednesday next week.
