Plymouth moped driver taken to hospital after crashing into the back of a car

A MAN was taken to hospital this morning with head and knee injuries after driving his moped into the back of a car.

Police and ambulance workers were called to Glen Road, in Plympton, at the mini roundabout outside the Lord Louis pub, at around 6.40am.

A male driver riding a red Baotian moped had gone into the back of a green Vauxhall Astra.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said the moped driver was “aware and conscious” but was taken to Derriford Hospital with suspected knee and head injuries.

The spokesperson said the injuries were not thought to be serious and the road was cleared by 7.17am.
