Plymouth police hunt man who abused and threatened woman on Valentine's Day
A YOUNG woman fell victim to a less-than-romantic approach on Valentine's Day, say police.
The 24-year-old from Mutley was walking along Armada Way in the direction of the North Cross roundabout at around 7.20pm on February 14 when she was approached by a man.

He tried to engage her in conversation which the woman ignored, but he continued to follow her.
As he continued to walk alongside her his amorous words were replaced with verbal abuse and then threats.

Becoming fearful of his demeanour the young woman then took refuge in the Subway sandwich shop at the top of Armada Way and the suspect continued his journey towards the roundabout.
Police said the victim was left "very shaken" following the incident and they are now appealing for anyone who may have seen this man or witnessed the incident to come forward.
He was described as white but with a tanned complexion, of medium to large build, around 5ft 10ins tall and he spoke with a slight European accent. He had short brown hair, a chubby face, appeared unkempt and unshaven and was aged between 30 and 45 years.
He wore a grey scarf and a dark medium length jacket with a glass beer bottle in his right hand pocket.
