Plymouth police hunting trio after man attacked

POLICE are hunting three men who were involved in an unprovoked assault on a young man.

The victim, aged in his 20s, was in Alexandra Park, Royal Navy Avenue at around 7.15pm on November 15 when he was approached by three suspects. Without any provocation or words being spoken he was punched in the face by one of the men, causing swelling and bruising to his cheeks.

The offenders immediately fled the area.

Police said the description of the offenders is very scant, but they are described as being white, skinny build, dressed in black with dark caps. Two of the men were approximately 5ft 10ins tall with the third being around 6ft 3ins.

Police are appealing for witnesses especially a dog walker who was believed to be in the park at the time. If you have information call police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 quoting crime reference number ED/12/6418.
