Plymouth schoolchildren saying thank you in Mother's Day messages
SCHOOLCHILDREN will be sending their love and thanks to mums and other special carers as part of The Herald's Mother's Day celebrations.
Youngsters at city schools have been invited to place their own message to their mum, grandmother, auntie or female carer free of charge.
Children at Mayflower Community School in Ham have already been writing messages on school computers for Mother's Day with the help of headteacher David Sammels.
Boringdon Primary School will also be taking part in the Mother's Day messages for the first time.

Claire Trebilcock, a teacher at the school in Plympton, said: "The children are delighted to have the opportunity to write a message for their special someone on Mother's Day.
"They haven't stopped talking about it! It's a great idea and puts their computing skills to good use."
Schoolchildren have been writing their messages online by visiting www.thisisads.co.uk then clicking on the Plymouth link, and they will appear in The Herald on Saturday March 9.
The deadline for placing the children's messages will be Wednesday March 6.
