Plymouth teenager, 17, arrested over alleged homophobic assault
A TEENAGE boy has been arrested in connection with an alleged homophobic attack on a student who was left with broken ribs.
The 19-year-old student was alleged to have been attacked near the Dog and Dug public house in Mutley Plain at around 3.10am on October 6.
He told police he had heard a person shouting "fag" and "batty boy" just before he was allegedly struck around the head, knocked to the ground and repeatedly kicked.
Police say a 17-year-old male was arrested on November 9 on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm.

Following interview the man was released on police bail until January 4 next year.
Police say they are still appealing for witnesses.
