Plymouth woman chased burglar down the street
A WOMAN chased a burglar down the street after returning home from a night out to find him in her house.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the burglary at a house on Wilton Street, in Stoke, on Wednesday evening.
The offender is thought to have entered the property some time between 11.15pm and 11.30pm and was interrupted when the woman who lives at the house, and her friend, returned home.
One woman chased the burglar down Wilton Street towards The Co-op grocery store before turning right into Crawford Terrace and then taking a left into a rear service lane that runs parallel to Wilton Street, police said.

But the burglar got away with hundreds of pounds of electrical equipment including an Xbox, as well as a brown handbag with a pink lining and its contents.
The offender is described as between 25 and 30-years-old, with a bald head, stocky build, pitted face, around 6ft in height and was wearing a light grey Adidas tracksuit top and bottoms. He also wore a stretchy black scarf and woollen gloves, officers said.
