Police concerned for baby's welfare after assault in Royal Parade
A MAN holding a baby was assaulted in the middle of the day on a busy Plymouth street.
The man, who has not been identified, was assaulted outside the Brass Monkey pub on Royal Parade between 4.35pm and 4.45pm on Saturday.

After the assault the man left the area with the baby and has yet to be identified by police.
Police would like to speak with him as soon as possible to confirm his welfare and that of the baby.
He is described as being in his late 20s and 6ft tall, he was wearing a blue thin waterproof jacket and had the baby in a blue sling inside his jacket.
The man or anyone else with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact police by telephoning 101 and quoting reference 496 18/02/2012.
A man has been charged with two offences, assault and public disorder. He is currently being remanded in police custody awaiting the next available court.
He will appear in Plymouth Magistrates Court on Monday to answer all charges.
