Police hunting bag-snatcher who fled

POLICE are hunting a mugger who snatched a woman's handbag and fled.

The thief approached his victim as she was walking along Colebrook Road, in the St Budeaux area of the city, at around 11am on Friday, September 7.

He grabbed at the handbag which was on her shoulder while she was talking on her mobile phone

The suspect was described to police as a white man, of average height and of a very thin build.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up concealing the majority of his face.

He also wore a yellow t-shirt and black jogging bottoms.

Anyone with information about the incident should call the police on 101 quoting crime reference ED/12/4942.

Alternatively, pass information to the Crimestoppers charity anonymously by calling 0800 555111 with the same crime reference.
