POTHOLE Pete has returned to Budshead Road yet again to investigate problems with the road surface.

Pete visited the area last month and, as a result, Highways Inspectors from Amey visited the road and assessed the damage.

But since then Pete has had several more call-outs to the road, so decided to take another look for himself to check out the situation.

A spokeswoman for Amey said: "Our Highways Inspector visited Budshead Road on February 1 to assess potholes that had been reported to our watchman team. Those that met the national intervention level were filled. It is a great help when members of the public let us know when new faults like this appear and their specific location so that we can get them repaired as quickly as possible.

    “i think if car drivers put in claims for damage cars due to pot holes ,, then the roads would be done quickly ,,, after all they would not like to keep on paying out
    take pictures of the pot holes report it and when claiming show them that u did all in yr power to get them sorted and they just keep getting worse
    not just one or two people but every one claim and complain ,,,”

    “@tim
    Trust me, the road from the area in that picture right up to the old clarks hill are akin to a BMX track.
    @Kobybill
    You can't be a car owner/driver, if you were you would be moaning also at the risk of damaging your car everytime you go out, I for one will keep moaning and making a nuisance of myself to the council until our roads are normal.”

    “I just emailed using the wathcman address and it went straight through and they have responded as well as a reply from the council. I sent it in connection with the terrible state of the Ridgeway in Plympton from St Mary's roundbout to the Plymco car park entrance. it obviously remains to be seen if anything will be done.”
