Pub staff are sold to highest bidder
PUB staff raised money for the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity by putting themselves up for auction.
Workers at The Brass Monkey hosted a pirate-themed weekend which included bands Feedback and Freshly Squeezed before staff members were auctioned off to the highest bidders.
Michael Jonas, General Manager of Brass Monkey, said: "The weekend was a huge success with a packed-out pub."
He said the auction was a "huge draw" which got "quite heated".

"Many of our regulars fought vigorously over my team members to win the chance of a date for two at the Brass Monkey," he said.
"Our highest selling team member was Carly who was auctioned for £53. I would like to thank everyone who attended, the team who volunteered to be auctioned and all the local businesses who supported us by generously donating prizes for the raffle.
"It's great that we all came together to raise money for a cause so close to the hearts of us here at The Brass Monkey," he added.
