CHILDREN in Africa are to benefit from new school uniforms thanks to the generosity of pupils in Plympton.
The children at Old Priory Junior Academy have donated their old school uniforms to the Operation Sunshine charity.

DONATION: Old Priory Junior School pupils Ben Lees, nine, and Claudia Greiner, 10, with Operation Sunshine's regional organiser Ann Tregarthen
The Christian charity collects, sorts and packs second hand and new clothing for less fortunate children in Africa.
Rob Pippen, head teacher at Old Priory Junior Academy, said: "We're delighted to help in this way. We have just become an academy school and, as a result of this change, we have re-branded and created new school uniforms.
"It meant that our old school uniform was no longer required.
"The staff and children thought long and hard about what we could do with the uniform and after doing some research we found out about Operation Sunshine.
"Hopefully the uniforms will benefit these children in Nigeria who are less fortunate than us."

“Oh yeah, because a Muslim continent needs school uniform from some over-rated Christian school?”
