Children of Torpoint Nursery and Infant school have been selling a CD of themselves singing hit songs from 1988, the year Comic Relief began. The CD is on sale at the school now and the youngsters were to perform the songs today in the playground. Entry is £1.
All week at Bella Italia in the city centre there has been a Paint a Plate competition for children. The winners will have the opportunity to paint their design on a real plate at Clay Art on the Barbican.

Devonport High School for Boys have been running events throughout the week including a university challenge-style quiz, teachers' cook-off, dodgeball, Let's Dance and an orienteering challenge.
Eggbuckland Community School have also been having a week-long celebration. Youngsters have been dressing up in 80s clobber and as dinosaurs and there will be a teachers Vs kids bake-off.

On Wednesday Mayor Martin Gee performed with Saltash Rock Choir. (see picture below left) The Dare the Mayor solo performance took place at Wesley Church.
Today sees fitness fanatics doing their bit for the cause. A 45-minute workout at Devon Fit Camp HQ, South Devon Tennis Centre in Ivybridge was due to take place at 6am or 9am.
A Comic Relief bake-off takes place at the Novotel today. Around 30 local businesses were expected to take part.
First bus drivers will be getting on board the charity drive by donning red noses on their bus routes.
Plymouth University Athletics Club are holding a 12-hour continuous modified triathlon. The feat involves running, cycling and rowing in the student Union Illusion Bar.
Also today Ivybridge Community College was holding a fun run and tertiary students were to wear fancy dress and collect donations.
On Sunday, March 17, there will be a drive to raise £5,000 from 9.30am. Waves of runners, joggers, walkers, buggy pushers and wheelchair users will complete a mile on the track at Tavistock College. Fancy dress is optional – red noses are compulsory.
