Reopened cinema presents its 50,000th customer with three-month pass and freebies
A MOTHER taking her children to the flicks has become the 50,000th customer to visit the White River Cinema in St Austell since it reopened in December.
The renovated and relocated picture house marked the milestone by dishing out celebratory gifts to Sharon Hawkins of St Columb Major.

This included free entry to the cinema on the day, a three-month cinema pass, snacks and refreshments.
Sharon said: "It's the first time we've come here since it's reopened and I was completely surprised when they said I was the 50,000th customer. I never expected it, but I am, of course, very happy. It looks really nice and I've heard nothing but good things about the place.
"The town centre development looks like it is coming on nicely and I'm sure it will all look great once completed."
Sharon was taking her two children and one of their friends to see 'Marley and Me' on Thursday.
David Williams, managing director of WTW cinema, was the one who gave the good news to the cinemagoers.
He said: "It's a milestone for the cinema here in St Austell, the whole White River development and for the town."
