Reuben Reid says he should have scored on return to Plymouth Argyle
STRIKER Reuben Reid has admitted he should have scored on his return to action for Plymouth Argyle.
Reid, 24, started a second spell with the Pilgrims when he was re-signed on a one-month loan from Yeovil Town last Thursday.

He went straight into the starting line-up for the game against relegation rivals Accrington Stanley at Home Park on Saturday, which ended in 0-0 draw.
Reid had an excellent opportunity to break the deadlock in the 66th minute but blasted the ball high and wide from inside the penalty area.

He told Herald Sport: "I should have won the game for the lads.
"No disrespect to Accrington but they came with a plan to kill the game off whenever they could. They took their time whenever the ball went out of play.
"I had a great chance to win the game but I think I was a bit too eager to score and hit the ball way too hard.
"Usually, I'm more calm and composed in those situations."
Only goal difference separates 22nd-placed Argyle from the League Two relegation zone, and they have played more matches than Bristol Rovers and AFC Wimbledon below them.
However, Reid is thrilled to be back at Home Park, which is where he started his professional career.
He made his first team debut, aged 17, in April 2006 and made a further 11 appearances before he was released in the summer of 2008.
Reid signed a two-year contract with Yeovil last summer but has struggled to get regular first team football this season so was open to the idea of a loan move.
When Argyle manager John Sheridan made his move for Reid, the Bristol-born striker did not need any persuading.
Reid said: "I got a call from (Yeovil manager) Gary Johnson on Thursday night saying that John Sheridan was interested in taking me on loan for a month and I jumped at the chance.
"I travelled down that night, got in the hotel, had one training session with the lads on Friday and played on Saturday. It was all very quick.
"It's a good feeling to be back. It's a club and a city I know and that can only help my football. Hopefully, I can do well."
Reid continued: "Plymouth has always been one of the first results I look out for because it's where I got my chance to play professional football.
"It's unfortunate what has happened at the club, financially, but hopefully there are better times ahead.
"There are still a lot of games to go, and a lot of points to play for, this season. Hopefully, we will be all right."
Reid is one of five signings made by Sheridan since he was appointed as Argyle manager on January 6.
Among the others is Reading's 19-year-old striker Gozie Ugwu, who had a loan spell at Yeovil earlier this month and played alongside Reid.
Ugwu was ruled out of the goalless draw against Accrington by an ankle injury but is expected to be fit for the visit of Dagenham and Redbridge to Home Park this Saturday.
Reid said: "Gozie is a big talent. He's strong and quick and very calm in front of goal. I can see him being a major asset for Plymouth Argyle."

“No good him saying he should have scored. We all can say things we should have done hand have not. Not worthy of a headline or coverage.”

“Reuben is right. He should have scored. The shot that went high over the bar should, with greater composure, have been a goal.”

“PCH had the best chance in the first half sliding in but just failed to make contact. Looking forward to seeing Ogwu in an Argyle shirt, hopefully this coming saturday.”
