Rileys open new city Social Clubs season on a high
PLYMOUTH SOCIAL CLUBS SNOOKER LEAGUE: Haydon Pinhey kicked off the new season with a 41 break for Rileys in the Premier Division, but then saw Steve Brookshaw come back with a 49, only to lose the frame on the black ball.
Rileys went on to win 3-2.
Belgrave B's Tony Farrant made a 43 break which inspired the rest of the team to go on and take all five points from Stuart A.
Matthew King made a 36 for Plymstock B but lost the frame on the black to Andrew Trim of Ford Cons B.

However, King's team-mate, Lee Jayne won his frame on the black to give them a 3-2 victory.
Ivybridge started the season in fine style securing a 5-0 whitewash of Pennycross A.
In Division One, Jack Moore was on form for Torpoint Comrades with a 44 break to help them to a 3-2 victory over Crownhill RBL B, for whom Andy Criddle compiled a fine 24.
Stuart C had Steve Launder and Dean Rumbold make breaks of 24 and 20, respectively. Unfortunately, the team went on to suffer a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Belgrave D.
GWRSA Laira A's Kevin Joyce made a 27 clearance to help them to a 3-2 victory over Plympton Cons B.
Mike Wilcox made a 25 break to ensure Hyde Park A got off to a good start with a 4-1 win over GWRSA Laira B.
The only break in Division Two came from Martin Griffiths who managed a 28 in Stuart B's 5-0 win over Woodland Fort A.
Ford Cons D started the season with a 5-0 whitewash of Crownhill Family A.
Citybus A went to Torpoint Cons B and came away with a 3-2 win when Melvin Rixon potted a respotted black in the last frame.
THE league has asked that all captains please note that Pennycross B have withdrawn.
