Robbery case against serving prisoner is thrown out
THE case of a man accused of robbery has been thrown out.
Wesley Howe, aged 34, had denied robbing the woman of her purse containing cash and a credit card in December last year. The Crown Prosecution Service offered no evidence on the eve of his trial. Judge Ben Compton formally returned a verdict on Howe, a serving prisoner at Exeter Prison.
