Royal Marine denies assault charge
A Royal Marine has been charged with indecently assaulting and harassing a woman.
Tim Potts, 30, based at Bickleigh Barracks with 42 Commando, faced Plymouth magistrates yesterday accused of sexual assault on the woman on May 9.
He is also charged with putting the same woman in fear of violence by harassment by breaking into her property on numerous occasions between January 1 and August 18. He denies both of the allegations. He also denies a charge of threatening behaviour on August 10. Potts faces trial on the public order matter before magistrates on November 9. He was released on conditional bail until October 19.
