PLYMOUTH Albion coach Nat Saumi is pleased his side are set to start their 2012-13 campaign at home.

The provisional Championship fixture list sees Albion entertain Doncaster Knights on the opening day of the season at Brickfields.

They will then follow that up with a trip to local rivals the Cornish Pirates before entertaining much-fancied Leeds at home.

"It is always good to have a home game first to try and get the confidence going into the season," said Saumi.

"We then have a local derby away in the second match.

"But whatever fixtures you get it is a challenge."

Albion's game against Doncaster on the opening day will mean Tyson Lewis will make a quick return to Brickfields.

Winger Lewis joined Doncaster at the weekend after being released by Albion at the end of the season.

Albion will have a tough end to the season with three away games – at London Scottish, Bristol and Doncaster – in four matches and the other match at home to 2011-12 champions London Welsh.

The fixtures published by the Championship are subject to change.

London Welsh are appealing against the decision not to allow them to be promoted.

Albion are looking at moving some of their home matches to a Friday evening.
