Scouts' celebrations right on target
A GROUP of Plymouth Scouts is celebrating after getting £825 to spend on archery equipment.
Children at the 1st Keyham Scouts (pictured) have long enjoyed archery but the unit had only a small number of ageing equipment, and only two bows.

Now they are set to buy eight new bows, new targets and safety netting thanks to the grant from Comic Relief's Community cash fund.
Scout leader and archery instructor John Davies said: "It's an activity that all our Scouts enjoy, across all the age groups. We want to buy £825-worth of equipment so that we can do archery more often.
"Also, we have qualified instructors and we can open it up for other Scout groups in the district as a one-off, and also use it to raise funds.
"The fact that archery's 'dangerous', even though it's perfectly safe, appeals to kids," he said. "It gives an opportunity for controlled risk for the young people, especially in today's society which wraps children up in cotton wool."
