PLYMOUTH Argyle defender Marcel Seip is close to completing a one-month loan move to Ian Holloway’s Blackpool.

The deal should be done in time for Seip to be included in the Seasiders’ squad for their trip to Bristol City tomorrow night.

Argyle are away to Blackpool on Saturday, October 17 and it is almost certain that Seip will not be allowed to play in the match, as part of the loan arrangement between the two Championship clubs.

Seip was put on the transfer list by Argyle manager Paul Sturrock after a dressing room bust up between the pair following the 3-1 home defeat by Sheffield Wednesday on August 29.

Holloway was Argyle’s manager when Seip signed for the Home Park club in August 2006.

Blackpool are fifth in the Championship after winning 2-0 at home to Peterborough United on Saturday.

“Quote PS on the bus -

I'm going to have to slap them about a wee bit and see if we can get them mustered again."

he can talk of giving it but he cant take it - verbal threats are the same issue as physical - if Seip has to go then Luggy should also”

“Phil, Devon I'm glad you mentioned the crowd stats for Saturday...I can't work out how they would have got another 5,000+ in the ground. There were some gaps but never that many surely.

I have thought for a couple of years that somebody must be up to something devious, although how they could make anything out of missing free tickets I don't know.

Maybe they took advice from Sturrock and it's just something else he's got wrong, :-)

As for this story about Seip, even if he has said/done something wrong he's the best defender at the club and even if he played with an attitude it would be better than the midfielders we have trying to fill his position. It just needs Sturrock to think about it, have a wee chat with the big man and tell him he's a nugget that we need in the team.”

“If Blackpool could borrow Timar as well, with Holloway's encouragement they would have the best central defence in the league.”

“Will, Looe - you are right.
If the performance of an employee is adversely affected by an illness which wasn't declared at the time of engagement, the employee can be dismissed without financial compensation.
Don't want to see him dismissed but wish his GP would advise him to retire.
He should also consider the potentially ruined careers of many of the players in his care.”
