Simple fact is we need EU referendum
I WOULD like to reply to J G Jones's letter who wrote in answer to my 'rant', as he put it.
J G Jones wrote about all the supposedly 'good' things to come out of the EU, but fails to recognise all the bad things, and whose to say that these 'advantages' cannot have been obtained outside the EU?
Norway and other countries who are not in the EU seem to manage quite well and I don't suppose their trade has suffered unduly from being outside the EU either.
J G Jones is being just like all the other scare mongering politicians of this world who have consistently warned us of the 'dire consequences' of leaving the EU, but are failing to give the people of this country a vote on their destiny which they are fully entitled to.

The point that J G Jones fails to grab is that none of the people of this country were asked whether they wanted federalisation, because that's what it is, and we were fooled into thinking it was simply a common market. Now whatever J G Jones says about the EU, the people of this country have a fundamental right to be asked whether or not we want to stay in the EU or not, and should stand by the outcome, but we all know the issue will be fudged by David Cameron who is saying, "well vote for me at the next election and I will have a think about re-negotiating the terms". Don't get suckered into that one.
J G Jones failed to mention the disastrous European Convention on Human Rights which has allowed thousands of criminals and illegal immigrants to remain in this country, who are now forming ghettos. There are three cities in the country where the majority of the people were born outside the UK. Oh yes J G Jones, we do have 'freedom to travel, live, and work across Europe' as you say, but it seems, so too have the rest of Europe and probably the world thanks to the human rights laws, who only see our lax social welfare systems, and to take advantage of it.
Regardless of what J G Jones or David Cameron say, we want to be given the right which are forefathers fought for to decide our own destiny, to rule ourselves, and without interference from Europe, and to close our boarders down and to only allow those who have something to 'offer' this nation, and can speak English.

“Correct me if I am wrong but as far as I am aware the European Convention on Human Rights is a separate entity from the EU and stems from the Council for Europe and has 47 member countries.”
