Companies House, which registers information on businesses in the UK, confirmed that Sir Roy is no longer director of Plymouth Argyle Football Company Ltd or Plymouth Argyle Football Company (Holdings) Ltd.

“Doesn't matter one way or the other - as a shareholder he will still benefit from the land buy out later in the year!.
As I have said many times before it's got nothing to do with football but all to do with the land they own both outright and on long lease in Central Park.
Prime building land once the council buckles under the threat to close the football club down unless they get planning permission.”

“Comments should be made IF the facts ever come to light ,I think he had to many other commitments to fully justify his position as chairman ,just another sad episode in the saga at Home Park .

“First good bit of news we have had for months, at last the absent chairman has gone.
He was hopeless with Marconi as was Todd and hopeless with Connaught. Gardner and his side kick Todd have brought us to the edge of the abyss.
In my opinion he is like Hades of the business world.
Now hopefully Stapleton will go as well as he is also tarred with the same brush.”

“Andy, he's still a shareholder.
When the dust settles and the whole story comes out, I think we'll find that the honourable guy was the first to go.
Losing Gardner, who pumped millions into the club while Tycoon Kagami and Tokyo Pinocchio Synan dissembled their way through Plymouth, is a bad thing.
Peter Jones wrote that Todd got pushed out on Christmas Eve based on a promise from Tokyo that they would send cash. Gardner quit over not being consulted over that. It's not hard to imagine what he would have said to the other local directors if he had been consulted: ARE YOU CRAZY?
Ridsdale said the Japan promise of funds was "made in open court." if that's accurate it would be an escalation from just lying to the Herald.
How's payroll coming? The good man on pasoti who organized a whip round for the staff in December is reporting that he got an email from a staffer who said no cash today. In its place, an email saying management hoped they'll be paid in seven days.
How's that work again?”

“We know he stood down as Chairman and now companies house say he is no longer a Director but the official statement says he has "severed his ties with the club" I take this to mean that he no longer holds any shares in which case.....Who has bought his shares?”
