Sold! Tom Daley's trunks go to auction in Plymouth
THE hammer went down on Tom Daley's trunks in a charity auction.
The Spirit of Sport auction, held at the Life Centre, was organised by local fundraisers in aid of Meningitis UK and the Plymouth-based Snowdrop Appeal and 42 Commando.
Lots included a private diving lesson with Tom Daley and Splash! judge Andy Banks, a signed Lionel Messi football shirt and a World Cup-winning England 1966-signed and framed football shirt.
Meningitis UK community ambassador Becky McLaren helped to organise the event.

The 41-year-old from Saltash said: "We raised £12,000.
"It was busy and there was lots of frantic bidding.
"Tom's trunks made £260 and the diving lessons with Tom and Andy made £250 each.
"The England shirt went for nearly £500."
David 'Fitz' Fitzgerald, from BBC Radio Devon, took on the role of auctioneer at the free event.
Becky lost her seven-month old step-grandaughter Gracie Violet to meningitis in February 2011 and has since been involved with Meningitis UK.
She added: "David was a great auctioneer and we also had a fantastic performance form Ivybridge Gymnastic Academy.
"We've now raised around £43,000 in total through these auctions which is brilliant."
