South Brent caravan destroyed by fire
Two fire appliances from Buckfastleigh and Ivybridge were mobilised to reports of a wooden caravan on fire in the Higher Badworthy area of South Brent at around 2pm Sunday.
The fire was extinguished by fire crews using a water jet but the caravan was completely destroyed by the blaze. A gas cylinder, which could have exploded in the fire, was kept cool by firefighters.

The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental. The occupant of the caravan is now being looked after by the Red Cross Fire Emergency Support Service.
