Experimentation features strongly as makers combine new technology with traditional methods and unusual ideas. Ian Revely, graduate of 3D design from Plymouth University is showing his beautifully moulded leather bowls - part of his developing interior design work. Other exhibitors hail from regional establishments teaching creative courses such as Bridgewater college and Falmouth. Paul Stopler makes beautiful kiln-formed vessels - resembling containers, but filled with solid glass. Bath Spa student Jo Taylor's rhythmic ceramic sculptures are influenced by architectural decoration such as plaster ceilings. Bristol based Alexander White considers himself both a designer and craftsman: his 'Monroe Chair' splays out in folds from a central axis created by a Computer Numerical Control machine. For these new makers it is a fantastic opportunity to exhibit professionally in a public gallery, sell work and expand their practice.

All working craftspeople in the South West can apply to be a Member of the Devon Guild. Their new Student Membership scheme offers opportunities, mentoring and advice about careers in craft.

Exhibitors: Sue Brown, Grace Coombes, Hannah Felicity Dunne, Tracey Falvey, Bethan Jones, Joshua Kerley, Emma Lavery, Sylvia Llecha, Rebekah Lockley, Stuart McFarlane, Jennifer Norris, Ian Reveley, Eliza Jayne, Simpson,Paul Stopler, Jo Taylor, Keith Varney, Sue Welham, Alexander White.
