A GROUP of football players will be taking on the police and the city's Chamber of Commerce out on the football pitch.

Tavi Specials FC will be playing a mixed able-bodied team of players from the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce and Devon and Cornwall Police in an eight-a-side match this Sunday at 11am at Tavistock Community College.

There will be one duel to watch out for with Tavi Specials player Jake Ridholls, 16, taking on his dad, PC Stephen Ridholls.

Organiser PC Ryan Pengelly, from Crownhill police station, said he hoped the event could become a regular fixture.
