Stolen purse contained £300
POLICE are appealing for information after a retired woman had her purse containing £300 stolen while in a convenience store.
Officers would like to speak to the man in the picture regarding the purse theft and are asking anyone who can identify the man to contact them.
The woman, who is believed to be in her 60s, went into McColls, on Market Avenue, at around 1pm on August 1.
After paying for her shopping she accidentally left her purse on the Lotto counter, police said.

When she returned to get her purse, it had been taken.
The woman, who was out with her two young grandchildren, had around £300 cash in the purse as she had intended to pay the month's bills, police said.
Officers believe the man in the picture picked up the purse, placed it in between the newspapers he was carrying and left the shop.
