Student left with nasty facial injuries after unprovoked attack
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a student was left with "nasty" facial injuries following an unprovoked attack.
A 25-year-old student, who is originally from Greece, was walking alone in Plymouth city centre at around 1.30am on Saturday morning.

Detective Constable Anne Rose, who is investigating the crime, said the student came across two men, who appeared to be drunk, trying to flag down a taxi in Charles Street.
The two men approached the student and asked him where they could find a taxi rank.

When he replied, they asked him where he was from, DC Rose said.
One of the men then proceeded to punch the student in the face causing him "nasty injuries", she said.
The student required stitches under his left eye.
The male who punched him in the face is described as being between 20 and 25 years old, around 1.85metres – or six foot – tall, white, with short dark, scruffy, spiked hair and stubble.
He was wearing a long-sleeved pale green striped top and dark jeans.
The other man is described as being of a similar age, around 1.7metres – or 5' 7" – in height, with light, short hair.
He was wearing a short-sleeved white top and jeans.

“I hope they release CCTV footage and catch them. If CCTV footage isn't avaiable, I think we need more CCTV cameras, especially on main walk-home routes like this. When I lived in Bristol we were advised the "best routes" to stick to if we went out in town, which were the ones which had best CCTV coverage.”
