SOCIAL care students organised and ran a fun-filled event to raise funds for a respite centre.

Students at City College Plymouth held the fundraiser at Goschen House, in aid of Downham House.

The centre provides facilities for children with severe learning difficulties and is trying to raise cash for a multi-sensory spa room to help children relax.

The event included a guess the weight of the cake game, name the teddy bear, face painting, nail painting and a bun sale, raising £160.
