Students raising cash for Atlas trek
A GROUP of students are hoping to raise thousands of pounds for a once in a lifetime educational trip to Morocco.
The teens, all students at Estover Community College, are taking part in the trip with World Challenge, an expedition company which offers young people the chance to learn life and leadership skills outside of the classroom.

MOUNTAIN TO CLIMB: Sophie White and Becky Wills, right, with other Estover students hoping to trek in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco
The group of 14 students are planning a trip to Morocco which will see them trek to the Atlas Mountains before heading to nearby villages where they will help to build schools and teach English to local children.
Ian Goldsmith, geography teacher at Estover who is coordinating the event, said: "Every student has to raise £1,250 to go and take part in the trip.
"They are organising school fetes, abseils, bag packing at shops, car washes – anything to raise as much money as possible. One girl has already raised £500 through car boot sales and selling things on eBay."
Mr Goldsmith is appealing for local people to support the students in their bid to visit Morocco.
"They are really excited about the trip but there is trepidation because they have to raise all the money themselves," he said.
If you want to sponsor the teens for the expedition or support them with their fundraising goal, please call Mr Goldsmith at Estover Community College on 01752 207907.
