A DOG training club has once again come up trumps for a local animal charity.

The Caradon Dog Training Club recently donated £500 to the Woodside Animal Welfare Trust to aid it in its efforts to care for dogs, cats and other assorted creatures.

The club – who are long-time supporters of the Plympton-based trust – raised the money from its weekly dog training sessions.

The donation will go towards sponsoring eight re-homing kennels for the next 12 months.

Helen Lecointe, sanctuary manager at Woodside said: "We are so grateful for the continued support of the club and the donation that helps us to make a difference to many of the dogs passing through our care."
