Swallows fly high at regional grading event
GYMNASTICS: Plymouth Swallows end on a high in the last competitive performance of the year.
Twenty-nine girls from the club took their regional gradings, which for many was their first taste of gymnastic competition.
Gradings in gymnastics look at not only the skill level of the gymnast but also the way they perform those skills, this is then compared to the 'perfect' model.
All of the swallwettes did extremely well and held their nerve to perform with confidence and flair.

Their great performances secured a pass with distinction for 20 of the girls, the highest level possible, while the remaining nine also passed with flying colours achieving highly commended.
Last Thursday and Friday the club held its last event on the list for 2012 with their much-loved Christmas display, where all ages and abilities from the club came together to showcase what all the hard work and commitment has enabled the gymnasts to learn over the past year.
