A TEENAGER accused of a string of offences has appeared in court.

Andre Icely faced Plymouth magistrates accused of aggravated burglary.

He allegedly entered a home in West Park with intent to cause criminal damage while carrying an offensive weapon, a hammer, on September 13.

The 18-year-old, of Springhill in Pennycross, is also accused of common assault against a female nurse at Derriford Hospital and a policeman who was taking him to custody on the same day.

He is also charged with threatening behaviour as part of the same incident.

The case was sent straight to Plymouth Crown Court and no pleas were indicated.

Icely was released on conditional bail to appear before a judge on October 15.
