Teenager robbed woman in Plymouth

A WOMAN shopper was pushed over and robbed by a teenager on a quiet footpath.

The 51-year-old woman was on her way home from the Co-op in Pike Road, Plymouth when she was attacked.

The woman left the shop at about 9am last Friday and walked up Efford Pathway heading towards her home in Blandford Road.

As she turned to go up the steps to Blandford Road she was pushed twice and fell to the ground.

Her attacker, who is thought to be a teenager, took her purse from her coat pocket and ran along Efford Pathway towards Efford Cemetery.

He is described as being a white male, 5ft tall, wearing a blue tracksuit and a blue bandana covering his face.

There were several people who walked up Efford Pathway before the incident and police would like to hear from anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area of Efford Pathway or in the area of Blandford Road that goes over Efford Pathway.
