Teens aim to skate the country
THREE Plymouth teenagers are attempting to smash a world record by travelling 900 miles across the UK on their longboards in less than 26 days.
Plympton friends Matt Elver, and Lee Renshaw, both 18, and Charlie Mason, 19, will board from John O' Groats through to Lands End, aiming to roll up £5,000 for the GoGo Trust, which supports Aids victims in South Africa.

RECORD ATTEMPT: Charlie Mason, Matt Elver, Lee Renshaw
Charlie Mason, who is reading Maths at the University of Plymouth, said his main aim was simply to complete the trip within 21 days.
Lee Renshaw, currently completing his A-levels at Heles Scholl, said: "When I first came up with the idea to do the trip it was just to be a kind of big goodbye to the guys as we would be finishing school and going our separate ways but it has already become so much more."
Fellow Heles A-level student Matt Elver — already holder of the record for fastest marathon time —completes the trio, who are known collectively as the Orsum team.
They will set off on their attempt at the start of July. Check out http://www.orsumboards.co.uk/ to see how you can help.
