TENNIS: The 2011 Michael Spiers Plymouth Tennis Championships will be held at Mannamead Tennis Club from Sunday, September 4-10.

Players will compete in the open section to lift this year's men's and ladies' singles titles, and men's, ladies' and mixed doubles' crowns. In the veteran events, competitors will vie for men's, ladies' and mixed doubles titles.

Entries for the championships close next Friday (August 26). Entry forms and further details can be obtained from your local club or from tournament referee Richard Avent on 01752 603650.
