Territorial Army open evenings to showcase employment opportunities in Plymouth

THE Territorial Army unit in Prospect Place is opening its doors to potential new recruits tonight and Tuesday February 26 in a move to showcase the employment opportunities with the TA.

The events are part of an extensive recruitment campaign taking place to encourage new recruits to the Territorial Army after the Government announced last year an increase to the Reserve Forces.

Plymouth’s TA unit, 131 Independent Commando Squadron, Royal Engineers (V) is just one of over 100 units from across the country who will be hosting open evenings and recruitment events throughout February and March to demonstrate to the public what the TA is all about.

Residents attending the open evening will be able to try on kit with the option of posting their photos on Facebook or Twitter, try out equipment and find out more from the soldiers themselves about the career opportunities available.
