Think of city's future
WHAT good news for Plymouth it is to see that Viable has put together a package that will save the Plymouth airport. Their plan meets all of the council's five steps. I call upon all of the city councillors to put aside any prejudice regarding the airport. Think about the long-term future of our city.
Regarding business and prosperity, I also hope that there will not be an unholy alliance between both the Labour party and Conservative party and that both of them take into account the 37,860 people who signed the petition. As for the SHH plan, looks good on paper but I fear that with the extra housing and traffic in the north of Plymouth, we will see gridlock on our roads.

“@blogtodi. Don't be too alarmed. Absolutely no-one has come forward to offer to put money into this "plan", least of all the 37,860 people who signed the petition, which I believes costs absolutely nothing. Talk is cheap.”

“Viable's plan isn't on their website, so I haven't seen it. So far all I have seen is a notional map in the Herald, which means building on two parcels of land they don't own. And the distance between Plymbridge Road and Estover is too narrow (according to the CAA) for the length of runway they envisage.”

“I can see fingers being burned here...that's a prediction. Watch this space.
PCC, don't, whatever you do, spend any of our council taxes on this fantasy.”

“I'm afraid they haven't met the first of Tudor's tests. They have not acquired the lease for the land and they will not be able to. SHH will keep the lease until they are allowed to build on it.”
