Time for us to admit EU dream is dead

WHAT happened to the EU dream? There is not a lot one can say about it. The Germans are not going to continue bailing out the Southern EU members for much longer.

Perhaps they are trying to save face at the moment and "live the dream" but the majority of ordinary Germans would like to have the DM back and leave the EU.

So why do our so-called political leaders, Labour, Tories and Liberals, continue to believe in this dream of a European Union. The UK is the only member of the EU which obeys all the rules and regulations which are churned out daily in Brussels, all the other members pick out the best bits and ignore the remainder, especially the French.

Our club membership fee to the EU is out of control and now amounts to £5,000/£6,000 per family in the UK.

The Labour Party landed this country in debt trying to live their dream, so now we are forced to accept cuts here and there to try to reduce this debt. Perhaps if we stopped paying money to the EU and giving to Foreign Aid (we need aid ourselves), perhaps one day we will balance the books.

All three parties promise some form of referendum on the EU after the 2014 elections. There is only one referendum possible to remain in or out of the EU, no ifs or buts.

“A favourite trick of extremist demagogues, from McCarthy to Hitler, is to accuse everyone who dares to disagree with them communists, jabba. A man can be judged by the company he keeps, don't you think?

Your hysterical screeching about what you fondly imagine to be taught in our schools is no less laughable than your barmy delusion that we've had Marxist prime ministers.

As for your hopes for impending martyrdom, dream on. If anybody comes knocking on your door, it'll only be trick-or-treaters - who, I'm sure, will greatly appreciate a fervent lecture on your imaginary fears.”

So enough of the woe is me feel sorry for me ****, you reap what you sow mate!”

“The point is .... and this is where we have to be slow and easy with lefty marxists is ( so I will write it really slow ).... mass uncontrolled immigration is no good for any country- especialy where unemployment is low even for themselves durrrrr ... not just Britain . Looking forward to my door being kicked in by the police for stating such a non racist fact .”

“Makes you wonder how we got to be so great without all those rumanians, albanians ,lithuanians and poles etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc and others from the "EU", let alone the rest of the world that have also been let in under one disguise or another even though they are not in the "EU" but are still in abundance even though the rules state that the first safe country should be where they claim asylum.
Like they say, its because of our nice climate .
But there again.... with the average schoolkid led to believe with the history change by leftists in our schools that Poland came to our aid in WW2 instead of the other way around and the Brits are the only ones responsible for slave trading , it aint really that surprising that the new generation feel obligated to let their own youth and elderly suffer in the name of a forced guilt . Anyone that speaks the truth is now a "BIGOT ". As confirmed by the last marxist leader . Looking forward to his "comrads" trying to shout me down or threaten me with death or something sinister ... like calling me "right wing " for sticking up for my own country and people .”

“Noone said trade between the eu and the uk would stop josdave however there would certainly be less favorable terms offered and as I said firms operating in Europe may have to dramatically adjust, look all im saying is its madness to suggest there is no downside to leaving the eu, all big decisions have negative consequences as well as positive, id just like to see a party even acknowledging this before trying to tip us over the abyss without a safety net and the ukip dont even mention it.”

“niugnepyzarc - It is a part of the Lisbon treaty that if any nation leaves the EU the rest of the EU are obliged to continue trading with that nation. Apart from that as I said as far as trade goes they need us more than we need them and the loss of trade, if any, would be minimal. And as far as essentials are concerned food is cheaper on the world market than it is in the EU.”

“yes I think it would however there would be negative effects no doubt and the ukip seeming to not even consider this does not smack of confidence for me......just a few off the top of my head, how for example would they deal with the large numbers of uk workers currently in living and working in the eu who would suddenly find themselves needing visas they may not be eligible for?, how would they deal with the disadvantages faced by uk firms who do a lot of business within the eu or even have bases over there? how would they deal with the loss of the human rights act? which although seen in a negative light because of bad press does in fact ensure our government is unable to get away with some of the shadier things it may be able to do to the public without its existence, no replacement is therefore unacceptable.

theres many more examples.......overall I think we should leave the eu, however I dont feel the ukip are the party to do it, hell I could promise to leave the eu if I was elected....doesn't mean im qualified to lead a country! and that's my whole point, people support the ukip based on there fanatical devotion to one issue, but if you look further you see how unqualified they are to hold office or to even make such a decision.”

“I did not suggest putting UKIP into power but if they had a reasonable number of MPs maybe, just maybe, our voice would be heard. As it is I do not regard myself as being represented by any of them. As for the negative effect of leaving the EU they need us more than we need them so the effect would not be bad in fact it did Norway no harm. If we rebuild our trade with the Commonwealth the overall effect would be of benefit to us.”

“and before anyone accuses me of it No I do not support our current government however I do not belive the solution to the current problems is to jump on the hysteria band wagon and elect someone like the ukip into power because of frustration over europe, to do so would be the equivalent of blasting yourself in the head with a shotgun to cure a headache.....a stupid decision and one guaranteed to do more harm then good when fixing the problem :P”
