Today is last chance to enter Face of Plymouth 2012
TODAY is your last chance to enter this year's Face of Plymouth competition.
Hundreds of entrants have signed up and had their photo taken at the special pop-up studio at Drake Circus shopping centre – but there's still room for more model wannabes.
This year's winners get to represent The Herald at events and parties for the next year with the chance to also work with Herald photographer John Allen to build up a modelling portfolio. There are also some great prizes on offer.
For everyone who gets involved in this fun event, FP12 promises to be something never to be forgotten. Don't miss out – if you are eligible, put yourself in the frame for fame.

“Guys chill. Its just a bit of fun. I've entered. I'm tattoed and pierced and have pink hair. Its a modelling competition, so its gunna have an age limit as its looking for the next rising model. Just chill out and stop bringing your egos into it seriously”

“There are so many "faces of Plymouth" which all adults would agree on . Everything from the drugged up beggars on the street to the ones that are helping their own communities and everything inbetween . This thing is a childish farce. As much use as a bonny baby competition where the only one to gain is the photographer making a few quid .
No doubt the Hearld will have a big disco night with all that attend thinking they are witnessing something special. Very sad for the real meaning of the " Face of Plymouth " .”

“@vinnie gar ... totaly agree. This "face of plymouth" thing is totaly irrelevant to the true meaning of what most of us would really expect . A tired formula past its sell by date .
To me the competition should be about photography of people of Plymouth showing the real face of plymouth and judged by peoples votes . Not this outdated X factor kind of thing where they dont even have to sing ..... just look youthfull .
If my son or daughter tried to enter they would get a clip around the ear and be told to grow up.”

“Can anyone remember what last year's winner looks like?
No.
But, I bet everyone would still recognise Larry Speare.
Face Of Plymouth?
It's a no brainer...”

“Ageism is rife in Mail group regional newspapers even if most of the dwindling hard copy have long since ceased to be spring chickens.”

“How can the face of Plymouth be only those aged from 18 to 27? It should be all ages. Most of those who read the Herald are over 27. Ageism is all around us and now we see in this newspaper. Disgraceful.
Wonder whether this will be printed?”
