You also have the chance to weigh in on the program live by using Twitter. Just include the hashtag #thisissplash in your tweets and your comments might become part of our updates.

Splash features Tom Daley and a team of professional coaches teaching a number of celebrities how to take the first steps into the world of diving. Some of the contestants seem to take to the sport like a duck to water, while others have shown styles reminiscent of a trusty old belly flop when entering the pool.

The final sees interior designer and TV-presenter Linda Barker, Olympic high-flyer Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards and actor Jake Canuso go head to head for the title.

In the show's final they will each perform a solo dive as well as a synchronised dive with Tom Daley.

Splash! begins at 7pm on ITV.

Live coverage:

19:00 - Welcome to our live coverage of the final of Tom Daley's Splash!

19:01 - Who do you think will win? Let us know on Twitter by using the hashtag #thisissplash

19:02 - The three contestants in the final are Jake Canuso, Linda Barker and Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards.

19:04 - Tom Daleys starts things off by performing a three-and-a-half forward somersault from the ten metre platform.

19:07 - Clips from training shows that all three contestants have struggled and fought to take their dives to the next level.

19:08 - Linda Barker overrotated a syncro dive in training and will be sporting several bruises for the final.

19:10 - The final is solely decided by the public, so the judges have been delegated to a spectator role tonight. They will, however, still score the dives.

19:11 - First up is Linda Barker, who in training has been working on doing somersaults. Something she has not done in the heat or semi final.

19:12 - Her dive will be a one-and-a-half forward somersault with tuck from the five metre platform.

19:14 - Linda Barker gets ready, practicing her tuck position and steps up to the edge.

19:15 - It is a near perfect forward one-and-a-half forward somersault with very little splash.

19:16 - The judges are all impressed; the scores are: 8.5, 9.5 and 8.5 - a total of 26.5 points.

19:23 - Next up is Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards, who scored a massive 29 out of 30 points in the semi final. It could seem that the only way for him is down...

19:24 - In training he faceplanted when tried doing a forward two-and-a-half somersault from the three metre board and seemed to lose a lot of confidence.

19:25 - He is, however, still going to go for a two-and-a-half somersault off the ten metre platform.

19:27 - The Eagle gets ready on the ten metre, swoops down and performs a great dive!

19:28 - The judges are impressed, to put it mildly. 10, 10 and 10. A perfect score.

19:31 - It is time for Jake Canuso who will have to pull off something pretty special to equal Eddie's score.

19:32 - Jake Canuso is going for an armstand pike somersault off the ten metre platform, but has looked a bit worse for wear in training.

19:34 - Jake Canuso focuses and has a go at getting into the armstand position but has to go back down. He makes it in the second attempt and performs a very good dive. His entry is a bit splashy, but otherwise it is hard to lay a finger on his dive.

19:36 - The judges score the dive: 9, 9.5 and 9, giving him 27.5 out of 30 possible points.

19:38 - All three contestants have shown great composure under pressure and delivered on the platform. Next up are the synchronized dives.

19:46 - Tom Daley: "synchronized divers usually practice together for at least six months." The celebrities have had about a week to practice with Tom Daley.

19:47 - First up (and then down) is Linda Barker.

19:48 - Linda and Tom will be performing a backward tuck from the ten metre platform. It is the dive that Linda Barker hurt herself practicing earlier.

19:49 - The two are just about level and synchronized throughout the dive, but Linda Barker seems to overrotate the dive slightly.

19:52 - The judges give it a total of 27.5 out of 30 points.

19:58 - Eddie - in gold trunks - and Tom get ready for their dive.

19:59 - The pair will be attempting to do an inwards one-and-a-half somersault pike from the ten metre.

20:00 - Tom and the eagle are synchronized throughout, with Eddie overrotating a little.

20:02 - The scores from the judges total 29 points, giving Eddie 'The Eagle' a total of 59 points out of 60.

20:03 - Last up is Jake Canuso. The pair will be performing a forward one-and-a-half somersault piked from the 7.5 metre platform.

20:05 - The final dive of Splash! 2013 proves to be a great one. The synchronization is perfect and it earns a total of 28 points from the judges.

20:10 - It is time for the public's vote to be counted. It will decide who wins Splash 2013!

20:28 - The votes are in and the results are:

20:29 - The diver in third place is: Linda Barker. Second place goes to: Jake Canuso.

20:29 - And the winner is: Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards!

“When are you changing the name of this appalling ..and I use the word loosely....Newspaper ...to Tango Boi Gazette...Bet gay boi is missing the hot guys he was leching at in earlier clips I've seen !!!!
So now can we expect..What Daley has for breakfast or lunch or dinner as a headline...his toilet habits?..Which guy hes got the hots for this week? When he cuts his toe nails...When he fades into oblivion...as someone who threw it all away cos he believed his own publicity!!!
What is the next Daley instalment???”

    “Who cares!
The infatuation the herald has with perma-tan mr Tom 'Dickinson' Daley is becoming sickening!
He is destined for z list celebrity tripe like celebrity big brother etc.
It's a real shame and a wasted talent that he is casting away the opportunity of being a great sportsman instead of concentrating 100% at what he is good at!”
