Tom Daley set to dive in for a second time as Splash! will return
HIT TV show Splash! could be back for a second series, according to judge Andy Banks.
The prime time Saturday night programme climaxed on Saturday night, with Eddie 'the Eagle' Edwards taking the top prize.
But before the final show hit our screens, bosses at ITV are said to have told the stars that a second series is already in the pipeline.
The judges, including Plymouth-based coach Andy Banks, were still planning for the final when they heard the news.

Speaking from his train home from London hours after the final, Andy told The Herald: "We were told just before the final show when we were in our judges' meeting.
"Apparently that's very unusual; usually you won't find out something like that until well after the final.
"They just came in and said 'good news, a second series has been given the go-ahead.' I'm absolutely delighted."
Splash! was greeted with a luke-warm response from critics after the first show aired earlier this month.
But millions of viewers continued to tune in to see celebrities plunge from the diving board.
The show, starring city diver Tom Daley, was filmed mainly in Plymouth but went out live from a new aquatics centre in Luton.
Andy continued: "Obviously they are happy with the format. It's been great fun and great for the sport.
"The people I've come across have been saying great things and even the media who said bad things at first have been won over.
"The final was great, a real climax. You couldn't have scripted it any better."
Although he's not signed any contract for a second series, Andy is keen to be involved.
He said: "Obviously they may tweak things for the second series. But it was a good opener and things can only get better.
"We're not sure of any time scales yet. They'll have to look at Tom's programme to make sure it's least intrusive in his life as it can be.
"Tom will be a main part in it and I hope to be involved again."
Plymouth divers Tonia Couch and Sarah Barrow also featured in Splash! In Saturday's night's show Tonia paired up with Tom to demonstrate 'how it should be done' synchro dives that the celebrities were to attempt with Tom.
And it was hoped six-year-old diver Oscar Piper would get to show off his skills. But red tape hampered that ambition.
Andy concluded: "TwoFour productions and ITV could not have been more supportive and welcoming of the likes of me and even Tom who don't have much experience of this kind of thing. They've been great with us."
ITV could not confirm that a second series of Splash! would be commissioned.
